Sir,
We can only sympathise with Mr Bernard Levin's censure (Jul. 26) of the heartless exhibition of personal effects retrieved from the Titanic -- the bric à brac and trivia of those who died in that tragedy.
I understand that there are similarly ghoulish displays at a site in Poland and on the Mall in Washington, and I wonder if he would condemn those too?
