David Irving replies:

THANKS for wondering. When Macmillan UK Ltd published my books, in 1987 my editor Adam Sisman asked me to write an autobiography, and I said I would leave it until later.

In fact I had already begun drafting it in about 1947, and I continued to update it as the years passed. Sadly, when my home was seized by the British Government trustee in May 2002, with all my papers, the file containing this biography was lost or destroyed through the negligence of the Trustee, Louise Brittain of Baker Tilly
Ltd.

However, among my ancestors is Robert the Bruce
(who was Scottish rather than the Australian his name would suggest); and the British know what to expect from one of his descendants.
