Das von verstorbenen Schutzhäftlingen stammende
Zahnbruchgold wird auf Ihren Befehl an das Sanitätsamt abgeliefert. Dort wird es für Zahnbehandlungszwecke unserer Männer verwendet.

SS-Oberführer Blaschke verfügt bereits
über einen Bestand von über 50 kg Gold; das ist der voraussichtliche Edelmetallbedarf für die nächsten 5 Jahre.

Mehr Gold für diesen Zweck zu sammeln, halte ich sowohl aus Sicherheitsgründen als auch im Interesse der
Verwertung nicht für angängig.

Ich bitte um Bestätigung, dass das künftig aus den normalen Abgängen der K.L. anfallende
Zahn-Bruchgold an die Reichsbank gegen Anerkennung abgeliefert werden darf.

On your orders, Gold dental scrap originating from deceased custodial prisoners is currently delivered up to the Health Office, where it is applied to the dental purposes of our men.

SS Oberführer Blaschke already disposes of a stock of over 50 kilos of Gold: that covers the provisional rare-metal requirement for the next five years.

Both for security reasons and in the interests of other users, I consider it inappropriate to collect more Gold for this purpose.

I request confirmation that gold dental scrap accruing in future from normal concentration camp deaths may be delivered up to the Reichsbank against credit.

Comment:

• Fifty kilos of Gold would presumably come from 50,000
  to 100,000 people. Hugo Blaschke,
  incidentally, was Hitler’s dentist, and died in Soviet
  captivity.
