Ich nehme an, diese Tatsache ist dem Museum schon bekannt. (Es handelt sich um Nicholas Fraser, Produzent beim BBC-Programm Storyville bzw. seine Assistentin Jo Lapping.). Ich wurde sehr gerne bei diese Gelegenheit mit einer Assistentin zwei Tage lang beim dortigen Bild- und Dokumentationsarchiv Auschwitz recherchieren, denn ich habe vor, eine Biographie über Himmler zu schreiben. Genügt es, mich mit diesem Schreiben anzumelden, oder müßte ich im voraus sonst etwas unternehmen?

Um eine möglichst elektronische Antwort (s. Unten) wird gebeten! [English:] I am coming mid August with a BBC TV team to make a film at the Auschwitz site. I assume the museum knows this already? The BBC team are Nicholas Fraser, producer, and his assistant Jo Lapping. I would like to take the opportunity to research with an assistant for two days in your photographic and document archives. I am planning a biography of Himmler.

Will this letter be sufficient application, or should I apply in some other manner first? A brief e-mail reply (see below) would be appreciated.
