Barrister Douglas Christie had however advised him to say nothing substantive. [French texts omitted by Website] Employment and Immigration Canada Declaration Province of British Columbia Municipality of Victoria In the matter of the immigration act and in the matter of David J. C. Irving I, S.

Donaldson, immigration officer of 377-816 Government Street, Victoria, BC Solemnly declare that That on the 29th of October 1992 I interviewed David Irving at the Victoria City police cells at approximately 2300 hours. During that interview the following questions were asked: Q. Are you David Irving? A. Yes. Q. Are you a Canadian citizen? A. My lawyer told me not to answer any substantive questions, but of course the answer is no. Q.

I understand that you have been served with letter from the Consulate in Los Angeles stating that you are inadmissible to Canada. A. Then you are misinformed. Q. How do you explain that you traveled from the US west coast to Niagara Falls to effect your entry to Canada? A. I entered Canada perfectly legally as shown by the stamp in my passport. Q. But why did you travel so far out of the way before entering? A. I had a four day speaking engagement in Pittsburgh. From there I went straight up.

Q. What was the purpose of your trip to Canada? A. I was to give a series of talks on free speech. Q. Has this been arranged for some time? A. Yes. For about five months. The tickets were arranged in June or July. Q. Is it true that you are banned from Germany and Italy and that restrictions have been placed on your entry to South Africa. A. That is incorrect. I was recently in Germany and was there with the full knowledge of the police. Q. Were you aware that you are inadmissible to Canada?

A. That was taken to the courts by my lawyer. A. Yes, and that action was lost. And I make this solemn declaration conscientiously believing it to be true and knowing that it is of the same force and effect as if made under oath. Declared before me at CIC Victoria in the Municipality of Victoria in the province of British Columbia this 29th day of October 1992 signed by immigration officer and by declarant, S.
