19, 1992 SMYRNA MEETING OF NEO-NAZIS TO DRAW PROTEST TUESDAY A meeting of neo-Nazi Historical Revisionists will draw a community-wide protest tomorrow night at the Smyrna Community Cernter according to officials of the Atlanta-based Center for Democratic Renewal (CDR).
The meeting, scheduled to start at 7 p.m., is sponsored by the Atlanta Committee Historical Review, and will feature British historian David Irving, who claims the Holocaust was a hoax.
“We intend to peacefully protest this insult to the memory of the six million Jews and all others who died as a result of the Third Reich’s deliberate policy of murder,” explained Daniel Levitas, executive director of CDR, a national, non-profit group that monitors the activities of neo-Nazis and white supremacists. “If the American Nazi Party were meeting at the Smyrna Community Center, dressed in uniform and waving swastikas there would be a public outcry,” Levitas explained.
“The Atlanta Committee for Historical Review and its supporters are no different.” Protestors intend to picket the Smyrna Community Center at Village Green Circle off Atlanta road, beginning at 6:30 p.m. P.O.
