Australian Broadcasting Corporation Sydney, Wednesday, January 3, 2001 Yahoo! to ban Nazi memorabilia from website YAHOO!, the world’s leading web portal, will ban the sale of Nazi memorabilia from its Internet auction pages. A Yahoo! spokeswoman said the move was not in response to a French court’s order to ban the sale of such material, including SS daggers and replicas of Zyklon B canisters. “We did this as a matter of policy,” the spokeswoman said. The ban takes effect

on January 10. In November, a French judge held that Yahoo! must bar French users from being able to buy and sell such items on its Internet sites.
