ON Tuesday, August 11,
2009 the leading Spanish liberal newspaper El
Mundo -- its website attracts 24 million
viewers daily -- interviewed historian David
Irving at his home in Windsor. The interview
lasted four hours, and covered the author's life
and times, his books, his views on the
"Holocaust"and Real History, and his ambush by
the Austrian secret state police in December
2005 and lengthy imprisonment in a Vienna jail.
He said: "All that interests me now is the
question, whose books will scholars be using in
a hundred years' time -- mine, or those of the
conformist historians like Sir Ian
Kershaw and Sir Martin Gilbert?" Keep
an eye out for the resulting feature article.
