December
20, 2006: After 400 days in solitary confinement
David Irving is brought to the appeal court in
Vienna where Judges order his immediate
release.

Irving's imprisonment in Austria
The Vienna,
Austria, appeal must go forward: in London we
are also preparing an appeal to the UN Court of
Human Rights, but both actions may be choked off
by shortage of funds.
(Since his successful
appeal against political imprisonment in
December 2006, Mr Irving has been home hunting
for his family - the old one was lost during his
400 days of solitary confinement in Vienna. He
calculates the on-going losses inflicted on him
by the wilful arrest by Austria's political
police at over $400,000: airline tickets, lost
contracts, possessions, fees, lawyers and the
rest).
This is an
urgent appeal for funds, to sustain both
Mr Irving's fight and the major appeals ahead,
and to meet costs already incurred by his
successful Vienna team, the heroic Dr Herbert
Schaller and his daughter Elisabeth.

Today
we received delivery of the decision on our
appeal against the expulsion order. The appeal
has been rejected with extensively stated
reasons (the enormous knowledge of history
displayed by our civil servants is of course
what matters). I will send you a copy as soon as
you email or fax a current mailing address to
me.
Any
appeal against this second-level decision has to
be lodged with the constitutional and/or
administrative court within six weeks from the
date of its receipt. So our deadline for
appealing is August 23.
I
will willingly lodge this appeal, if you wish,
but can do this only if you cover the costs
already incurred by our intervention, in
particular the two appeals already lodged
against the entry ban and the expulsion-arrest,
and the costs of the further appeal measures
stated, amounting altogether to 4,729.70 euros
(about $6,500, including 494.60 court costs, for
the payment of which I am personally liable), by
August 1 at the latest on my account with the
Bank Austria-Creditanstalt Nr. 0962 4407400, BLZ
12000, IBAN: AT08 1100 0096 2440 7400/BIC =
BKAUATWW.
The
costs already incurred by our appeals against
the entry ban and the expulsion-arrest, which
are also please to be paid without fail by
August 1, 2007, amount to 2,467.30 euros (about
$3,400, including court costs of 214.60 euros,
for which again I am personally liable).
