Mueller comments: HERE is the beginning
of a four-page statement issued by the Abu
Hafs al-Misri brigades on behalf of
al-Qa'idah.
The statement rails at
length against the United Nations, which
it regards as an agent of the US, and
accuses of using double standards to the
detriment of Muslims.
The western media are
full right now of statements denegrating
the Abu Hafs al-Misri brigades saying they
really don't speak for al-Qa'idah and that
they claimed the blackouts in NY last
year.
At the time, the US
media made no mention whatsoever about
that claim, even though just days before
they were playing up a statement by the
same group as "proof" that al-Qa'idah was
involved in something. Now that claim is
supposed to be "absurd".
Absurd or not, it was the Abu
Hafs al-Misri Brigades that claimed the
Madrid Railroad attack in the name of
al-Qa'idah, something now fairly widely
accepted.
At any rate, below is
the text of the first portion of that
statement. As they used to say in medieval
Arabic texts about controversial matters,
"God knows best" how authentic it is.

In the name of God, the Merciful, the
Mercy-giving.  OD
HAS promised those who believe among you and do
good works that He will make them the successors in
the land, as He made those who came before them
successors, to establish their religion with which
He is pleased, and to bring them security after
they have known fear, that they may worship Me not
associating any [partner] with Me, and
whosoever disbelieves after that, they are the
corruptors." [Qur'an, 24:55]
Temporary
cessation of all operations in the territory of
al-Andalus. Praise be to God who gave us this victory in the
Madrid attack and destroyed one of the pillars of
the evil Crusader axis. The credit for this goes
entirely to God, be He praised and exalted, and
then to the mujahideen who are in the field, and
then to all who participated in this operation if
only by offering their prayers. We gave the Spanish people the choice between
war and peace and they chose peace by choosing the
party that was against alliance with America in its
war against Islam. Therefore
the command has decided to halt all operations
inside Spanish territory against so-called civilian
targets until we learn the intentions of the
new government that has promised to withdraw the
Spanish army from Iraq, and are certain that the
new government will not interfere in the affairs of
the Muslims. Therefore, we repeat, to all the
detachments deployed in European territory, halt
all operations. A
word to America's stooges Aznar, one of America's tails, has had
his future destroyed by the alliance he made with
the tyrant of the age, America. Aznar, who became
hysterical after the strike. His intelligence
services said "al-Qa'idah struck us," but he said,
"No, no, it was ETA" Aznar will be thrown onto the
garbage heap of history. What will America do for
him? America's stooge the Shah of Iran found
no one to bury him. Marcos whose body
decayed while America watched and did nothing for
him even though he had served America for 20
years. Think about it, stooges! The Brigades of Death
are at your doors. They will strike you with a hand
of iron at the appropriate time and in the
appropriate place, in particular the Arab and
Muslim stooges like Musharraf and the House
of Sallum (Sa'ud). Time will not be merciful
and our detachments are now preparing the next
blow. So whose turn do you think will be next? Will
it be Japan? Or America? Or Italy? Or Britain? Or
the House of Sallum? Or Australia?
Or . . . ?
Or . . . ? Who will protect you from us. Who will stop the
cars, trains, and airplanes of death? Who? Get out
of our land! Release our prisoners! Take your hands
off! And we will halt the Brigades of Death. A
word to Bush the fool. We know that you are living the worst days of
your life, in fear of the Brigades of Death that
have spoiled your world. We say to you that we are
very eager for you not to lose the coming
elections. We know that any large-scale operation
will destroy your government and we do not want
this, for we will not find
anyone more stupid than you, taking things
by force rather than by wisdom and shrewdness. Yes,
your stupidity and religious bigotry are what we
want, for our Muslim world community will not
awaken from its slumber except when there appears
an enemy to ambush it. The fact is that there is no difference between
you and Kerry, but Kerry will kill our world
community while it is not paying attention. He and
the Democrats have the shrewdness to prettify
infidelity and get it past the Arab and Islamic
communities in the name of civilization. Therefore
we are eager to see you win, Bush, you criminal, in
