Friday, December 26, 2003 Dear Steven Plaut I was puzzled to see in your story posted today that you state as fact that Dr Neve Gordon "is himself a writer who has often been cited and featured on the personal website of the British David Irving" [i.e. www.fpp.co.uk]. I have never met or corresponded with Dr Neve Gordon, and I have just run a word-search on all 8,000 files on my website, and the only reference to him is in one footnote, to a third-party review of the book by Richard Evans, where he is listed as co-author of a book cited as a reference by the reviewer. This hardly seems to justify your reference, and you may wish to amend and correct your posting, in the interests of general historical accuracy. With all due wishes appropriate for the season, David Irving (currently writing in the USA)
[His reply will be posted here] [Update, Monday, December 29, 2003: He has made no response, nor has the story been corrected, but the Steven Plaut article is not available anymore on the American Daily website. ] |
