FOUND GUILTY BERLIN,
October 23.
--After
a trial which caused much excitement,
two Jews have been convicted at Caslin,
Pomerania [Germany], of setting
fire to a synagogue in order to obtain
the insurance thereon. They were each
sentenced to four years' imprisonment.
A number of others who were implicated
were convicted and sentenced to shorter
terms of imprisonment. The crime was
originally attributed to the
Christians.
