RE: AUSTRALIAN TOUR

Dear David,

It would seem that one of the Profs you sent a message to has now given warning to the Australian Jewish News that you will be visiting Australia next year. I received a call from a reporter by the name of Walt Secred- would seem from his conversation with me that Prof [Konrad] Kwiet sent your fax to him.

Anyway, they now know you are on your way - which they would know anyway soon enough, however, please make sure that you get my telephone numbers right : (03) [...].

Be interesting as to the next reports in their publications.

Yours sincerely

Mr Irving had written to ten Australian academics including Kwiet and other colleagues advising them of his coming tour, and stating that he would be glad, once again, to meet their students. Several of the Jewish academics at once took clandestine steps to alert their agencies to campaign for a ban on his entry.
