A warning note about the Nuremberg Trial records |
Note by David Irving: I strongly advise historians planning to rely on these transcripts to consult the original sound recordings held at the U.S. National Archives in RG238, as there are serious discrepancies between what was actually said by witnesses and what the printed record contains. The transcripts appear to have been edited for content and political correctness. In the 1960s I carried out this exercise on the testimony of Field Marshal Erhard Milch -- I still have the sound recordings. See my biography of Milch, The Rise and Fall of the Luftwaffe (Little Brown, Boston, 1967). |
