excerpt: The
Norwegian Jew [Imre Hercz]
believes that Irving's appearance may have
serious consequences for the income of the
[commercial] TV channel. " - "TV2 has
forgotten that international sponsors can find
out about this, feel uncomfortable, and distance
themselves from TV2."

Irving-forklaring
- Coca Cola demands explanation about
Irving.
Translated
excerpt: - "We want a dialogue with TV2
about this incident. We think that it is normal
to ask why, and then form our own opinion, says
Stein Rommeroud, Marketing Director for
Coca Cola Norway. [
] - Why is this
talk important for the Coca Cola Company? - We
are very conscious of what media we are using
for marketing, this is about branding."
On the wrong track: Trond Blindheim,
president of the Norwegian School of Marketing
(Norges markedshøyskole), is of the
opinion that Irving's visit to Norway was of
great newsworthiness, and that it is common for
TV stations to pay the travel expenses for their
guests. &endash; In this case the Coca Cola
Company is on a completely wrong track. A
Marketing Director at TV2, or one of TV2's
advertises, can't interfere with the editorial
policy of a medium. &endash; But is it not
normal for Coca Cola to ask for such a meeting?
- No, that is the most ridiculous I have ever
heard. We have a constitution in this country
which confirms that freedom of speech is for
everybody. The media does not exist to deliver a
commercial message from participants like the
Coca Cola Company.
