Beyond reform

THE Reform Club's members voted in May to ban the Holocaust revisionist David Irving from their Pall Mall clubhouse. Curiously, however, the Reform's library has just added a copy of Irving's book about Churchill, Triumph in Adversity, to its collection.

"A member - who I don't want to name - offered to donate a hardback copy," says Lady Renouf, who was reprimanded after inviting Irving to dinner there 18 months ago. "His offer was formally accepted by the library committee last week."
