AS anticipated, the German government, unable to stem the tides of hatred it has unleashed with uncontrolled immigration from Russia and the Third World, is now rounding on its severest critics -- the right-wing. David Irving stated in his speeches in the country in the 1980s that the Left had replaced Klassenkampf (class war) with Rassenkampf (race war) -- cynically injecting, through the then existing Soviet Zone, Tamil "refugees" and other sources of ferment into the peaceful West German community. Now stage two has arrived, with demands for bans on the "right wing" parties. The leading nationwide political party NDP, which has stood candidates in local and general elections for decades, is the principal target. The party is legal and constitutional, and breaks no laws. National Chairman Dr Günter Deckert was imprisoned seven years ago for the offence of chairing meetings at which David Irving and Fred Leuchter lectured, and is still in jail.

Die Postbank ist nach BILD-Informationen bislang die wichtigste Bankverbindung für alle großen deutschen rechtsradikalen Organisationen. Schimmelmann: „Wir sehen unsere Entscheidung zur Schließung der Konten als Beitrag zur politischen Hygiene und Festigung der Demokratie in Deutschland und stehen damit zu unserer gesellschaftlichen Verantwortung." Auch bei Banken und kleinen Sparkassen mehren sich die Kündigungen.
