Analysis of the bin Laden tapes

I SEE mention of the plump or 'fatty' bin Laden video in the letter from Anne Cavendish.

"...the November 9, 2001 video tape -- mysteriously "discovered" by American soldiers in an abandoned house in Jalalabad -- in which a suspiciously plump and black-bearded OBL is suddenly found fessing up to 9/11."

Some of the analysis concerning the various bin Laden tapes reminds me of the Zapruder film and 'flamethrower tank' clips I showed 3 years ago at Real History 2004 in Cincinnati. The 'fatty' bin Laden observation is based on a handful of frames and does not take into consideration the entire video.

Just as it was helpful to see the 'tank' after the supposed appearance of flame, it would be helpful to watch the entire 'confession' video and see if the frames posted on conspiracy websites are truly representative or simply the worst possible views of him. The 'driver shooting Kennedy' video is a multi-generation copy of the Zapruder film with the color washed out of it.

It is the worst available copy of the film available. The clips of 'plump' bin Laden, while not nearly as abominable as the 'driver' video, have lost detail from video capture and translation into various formats (JPEG, GIF, etc.). You might want to peruse the following links: http://www.muckrakerreport.com/id372.html

"However, when one or even a few frames are taken from a 35-minute segment of video, and those selected frames exploit the least recognizable images of bin Laden while hundreds of other frames resemble him more closely, it is a misrepresentation of the truth."

The above link goes to a pro-conspiracy website. The editor, Ed Haas, initially believed that the video contained a fake, 'fatty' bin Laden until a contributing writer convinced him to look at the entire 'confession' tape for himself instead of blindly accepting what the conspiracy media claimed. http://www.911myths.com/html/fake_video.html

"...but it does suggest a need to look at the original footage."

The above link goes to arguably the best skeptic website concerning 9/11 conspiracy theories.

Of course, bin Laden doesn't have much of a problem with killing civilians. http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/shows/binladen/who/interview.html

Response to third question after John Miller's interview begins (a video link is included at the top of the page):

"The Americans started it and retaliation and punishment should be carried out following the principle of reciprocity, especially when women and children are involved. Through history, American has not been known to differentiate between the military and the civilians or between men and women or adults and children. Those who threw atomic bombs and used the weapons of mass destruction against Nagasaki and Hiroshima were the Americans. Can the bombs differentiate between military and women and infants and children? America has no religion that can deter her from exterminating whole peoples. Your position against Muslims in Palestine is despicable and disgraceful. America has no shame. ... We believe that the worst thieves in the world today and the worst terrorists are the Americans. Nothing could stop you except perhaps retaliation in kind. We do not have to differentiate between military or civilian. As far as we are concerned, they are all targets, and this is what the fatwah says..."
